Workshops in Australia

We welcome requests from therapists and organisations to present one of the workshops listed on the 'Potential Workshops' page. Please contact us about what is involved in co-hosting a workshop.

See our potential workshops page for the range of workshops we are able to present. Suggestions & requests are welcome. We understand that the cost of attending two-day workshops can be prohibitive when travel and accommodation are added. For this reason, Paediatric Therapy & Workshops likes to take our presenters to as many cities around Australia as possible to give more therapists the opportunity to attend.

Watch this space for updates on topics and dates, or contact us if you would like to go on our mailing list to receive email notifications about our courses and workshops.

NDTA 2018 Conference: Learning from the Past, Predicting the Future

May 18-20, 2018. Preconference: May 17. Sheraton Salt Lake City, Utah

MOVING & DOING – FUNCTIONAL OUTCOMES OF NDT: AN NDT RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL (PEDS)
Dr. Kate Bain, OT, C/NDT / Director, Paediatric Therapy & Workshops, Australia

Could research now validate what we have learned to do as NDT practitioners? Explore what we have learned from the past. Uncover evidence that supports NDT intervention in predicting and achieving change sought by our clients to participate more fully in their lives. Discover how to design NDT research protocols for the diversity that comprises our daily work—diversity in classification and severity, in goals, in life circumstances, and in NDT treatment strategies.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
1. Discuss aspects of the NDT practice model including the ICF & NDT Enablement Models.
2. Analyze effectiveness, validity, and efficacy as it relates to our practice as NDT therapists.
3. Apply NDT outcomes measures and research protocols to NDT interventions.
4. Collect corroborating data during NDT certification courses.

The session will be recorded and posted for the NDTA Distance Learning Program
